I am a Postdoctoral Fellow at the University of Pennsylvania, Graduate School of Education. I am on the 2025-26 job market and available for interviews.
I received my Ph.D. in Public Policy and Sociology from the Gerald R. Ford School of Policy, University of Michigan. At Michigan, I was an Institute for Education Sciences Predoctoral Fellow in Causal Inference Research at the Gerald R. Ford School of Public Policy's Education Policy Initiative (EPI) and a Trainee with the Population Studies Center at the Institute for Social Research
My dissertation evaluates the causes and consequences of fiscal accountability policies in education, as well as the causal impact of increased school funding on adult crime. More broadly, I am interested in documenting educational inequality and evaluating public policies intended to mitigate these inequities. My research uses descriptive and quasi-experimental quantitative methods with large administrative and survey datasets across national and state contexts.
My dissertation work has been recognized and supported by the National Academy of Education/Spencer Dissertation Fellowship and the Rackham Predoctoral Fellowship.
A first chapter from my dissertation (with Jason Baron and Joshua Hyman) is forthcoming in The Review of Economics and Statistics.
